In March, the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) Cleveland Chapter celebrated Women in Construction (WIC) Week with the students of Tri-C High Tech. The mission of Women in Construction (WIC) Week is to further the success of women within the construction industry and to emphasize varying career opportunities. WIC Week highlights women as an integral component of the construction industry, and encourages others to recognize construction as a viable, profitable career field.
NAWIC Cleveland’s current president, Ashley Tiano, and tradeswoman Liz Kahler shared a presentation with students detailing their personal journeys into the construction industry and the work they each do daily in the AEC industry.
